Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse High Point, NC. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to medical patients requiring continuous cardiac, respiratory, hemodynamic, and neurologic monitoring. The role supports a team-centered environment focused on delivering exceptional patient outcomes within a busy urban hospital setting.

Job Details

Position: RN - PCU
Location: High Point, NC
Shift: Nights
Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications; relevant work experience, including medical surgical with telemetry or progressive care; practice in an urban hospital environment; and at least 1 year of relevant healthcare experience.
Support within the Department: CNA support, rapid response team, hospitalist 24/7, telemetric monitoring with interpretation responsibilities, in-room monitors, arterial lines, and invasive monitoring tools.
Technology/Equipment: EPIC electronic medical record system, Baxter IV pumps, specialized monitors, and arterial pressure interfaces.
Orientation: 36 hours of facility and unit-specific training, including online modules and preceptorship with an RN.
Additional Information: Position involves caring for general medical patients with diagnoses such as NSTEMI, STEMI, post-cardiac intervention, stroke, and respiratory failure requiring support with oxygen devices or ventilator support. RN responsibilities include continuous cardiac and neurologic monitoring, interpreting rhythms, and managing invasive lines and drips.
