Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in a healthcare facility setting. This role involves providing routine and complex surgical care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients across various specialties, including pain management, ear, nose, and throat (ENT), urology, gynecology, podiatry, and general surgery. The position requires independent practice and adherence to clinical standards within a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, 40 hours per week.
• Education/Skills: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred; BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; RN License in state of employment or compact.
• Experience: 0 years required in a similar clinical setting.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS via AHA required.
• Responsibilities: Provides both routine and complex perioperative nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Administers medications and treatments according to protocol, monitors side effects, documents patient information, and provides patient education.
• Additional Information: The role involves caring for a diverse patient population with specialties including pain, ENT, urology, gynecology, podiatry, and general surgery. No C-sections or deliveries are included in this position. The candidate must demonstrate clinical competence and the ability to work independently, with a focus on safety, quality, and patient-centered care.
