Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available at a healthcare facility in Wichita, Kansas. This role involves providing specialized care to critically ill patients in a 26-bed Cardiac Neuro ICU unit. The RN will be responsible for implementing established clinical practices and working as part of a multidisciplinary team during night shifts.

Job Details

• Location: Wichita, KS
• Shift Time: Nights (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
• Schedule: 12-hour shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, minimum of 1-year current hospital ICU experience, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), NIH Neuro ICU experience, and proficiency in Meditech electronic medical record system.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in large facility ICU units, Meditech experience, and travel experience to high-volume ICUs.
• Responsibilities include managing complex procedures such as heart caths for STEMI and NSTEMI, balloon pump and Impella device management, therapeutic hypothermia, neuro procedures including EVDs, thrombectomy, coiling, and administering medication drips like vasoactives, sedatives, and paralytics.
• The unit emphasizes bedside shift report, multidisciplinary rounding, and adherence to clinical guidelines and policies.
