Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Specialty Nurse in Arlington This position involves providing specialized nursing care within the cardiovascular surgical unit, including supporting advanced procedures and ensuring patient safety. The role entails collaborative teamwork in a dynamic environment emphasizing clinical excellence and efficient patient management.

Job Details

• Position Description: Responsible for managing patient care during surgical procedures, supporting advanced cardiovascular interventions, and maintaining compliance with clinical protocols.
• Certifications/Education/Experience: Must have BLS certification, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in operating room settings involving open heart procedures. Candidates without these skills will not be considered.
• Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The role requires taking calls 15+ times per month and covering upcoming holidays, with on-call requirements and holiday coverage expected. The unit comprises 10 operating rooms and 2 endoscopy suites, performing all types of procedures except transplants. Candidate must be flexible and a team player.
