Description
Job Summary:
Medical surgical with telemetry specialty nurse in a healthcare facility located in the region. This position involves providing specialized patient care during night shifts over an 8-week contract, with a focus on patients requiring neuro telemetry and post-surgical recovery. The role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic clinical environment with a variety of patient cases.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: RN license for Illinois, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications, Epic electronic health record experience, at least 2 years of clinical experience in medical surgical and telemetry nursing, including travel experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience specializing in neuro telemetry, patients with cerebrovascular accidents (CVA) or transient ischemic attacks (TIA), post-op recovery from surgeries such as whipples, esophagectomies, and colon resections, as well as vascular surgery post-peripheral angiograms, peripheral artery disease (PAD) with wounds, and above-knee amputations
- Additional Information: This position requires working every other weekend as part of the schedule; float to other medical surgical units may be required. The assignment is for an 8-week duration starting on 09/20/2026 and ending on 11/15/2026. Credentials are due by Thursday prior to the start date.
