Emergency Room Nurse in Michigan This position involves providing critical care in an emergency department setting at a facility that operates 24/7 and offers specialized support in heart vascular, neurosciences, radiology, anesthesiology, and surgery. The role requires adherence to attendance policies and ensures patients receive immediate, high-quality emergency care.

Job Details

  • Position: Emergency Room Nurse
  • Location: Michigan
  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Michigan license verification (LARA and Nursys), ACLS, PALS, Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Basic Life Support (BLS) (American Heart Association), and 2 years of emergency room experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with travel assignments; skills checklist completed within one year of application for RN specialties; references not required; physical copies of certifications only necessary if listed above
  • Additional Information:
    • McLaren Northern Michigan has a strict attendance policy with a three-strike rule effective from 6/1/2024; absences or lateness exceeding 20 minutes are grounds for immediate termination unless justified by communicable disease or hospitalization with supporting evidence.
    • This role includes a weekend/holiday schedule: every other weekend on a similar night shift, with every third weekend off, and every other holiday.
    • Submit Michigan license verification, a skills checklist, and ensure certifications are current.
    • Physical copies of certifications are required if listed above.
