Job Summary
Surgical Technician (Operating Room) Portland, Maine. This position involves providing specialized support within the operating room environment, focusing on general surgery procedures at a busy Level One Trauma Center. The role requires expertise in robotics, pediatrics, burns, trauma, Whipple procedures, and HIPEC, contributing to high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Job Details

• Certifications and Experience: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with at least 2 years of experience in a Level One trauma environment, including travel experience. Must be competent in robotics (Da Vinci Xi and SP), pediatrics, burns, trauma, Whipple procedure, and HIPEC.
• Schedule: Days shift, 10-hour shifts, minimum 40 hours per week. Shift times are 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
• Responsibilities: Assisting in surgical procedures with a focus on trauma, general surgery, and specialized cases; ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols; collaborating with surgical teams.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with general, GU/GYN, orthopedic trauma, neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, endovascular procedures.
• Additional Information: Must demonstrate flexibility, accountability, timeliness, and teamwork. Scrubs are teal, issued by the hospital.
