Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS/Onc RN) in Alaska. This position involves providing specialized nursing care within a busy acute hospital setting, with a focus on oncology and medical-surgical units. The role is suited for qualified healthcare professionals capable of managing complex patient needs and working night shifts.
Job Details
- Certifications: BLS, Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred.
- Education & Experience: Valid Alaska Registered Nurse license or eligibility to apply within 48 hours of signing, with at least 1 year of nursing experience in a hospital setting.
- Location Requirements: Must hold a license in hand for auto-offer, with a minimum of 50 miles from the facility's location.
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Responsibilities include medication administration, chemotherapy, patient monitoring, and managing IVs. Oncology experience and chemo administration knowledge are preferred but not required.
- Candidates must be capable of floating within scope to meet unit needs and be flexible with shift coverage, including working during major holidays.
- Submittal: Must include responses to specific screening questions regarding previous employment at similar facilities, references covering the past 1 year, and confirmation of license status.
