Job Summary
Labor and Delivery nurse in a designated facility. This role involves caring for a high-acuity patient population, including straightforward and complex obstetric cases, with responsibilities encompassing intraoperative and postpartum care, as well as neonatal support. The position offers opportunities to float within the organizations facilities and requires adherence to professional certification standards.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts during days, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid California RN license, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). A minimum of 3 years of Labor and Delivery (L&D) experience, including at least 1 year of recent experience, with prior charge experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with adult and geriatric patients, hospital bedside charting in Epic electronic health records, and a minimum of 3 years of L&D experience with prior travel assignments.
• Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced (American Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses), AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP.
• Skills: Administration of blood and blood products, assist with high-risk deliveries, circulate for cesarean sections, neonatal assessment and resuscitation, postpartum hemorrhage management, vaginal and cesarean deliveries, use of external and internal fetal monitoring, and teaching hospital protocols.
• Additional Information: Ability to float to other organization facilities within a 75+ mile radius as needed. All RTO (Run/Time Off) must be disclosed at the time of submittal and approved by management at the time of offer. Orientation registration begins at 4:00 pm PST on the Monday prior to the start date.
