Description

Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse - Healthcare Facility, Days shift, in an urban setting. This position involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care across diverse surgical specialties including Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, Craniotomy, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Dental Surgery, and Neurosurgery. The role requires flexibility to float to other facilities within the region, ensuring coverage for a variety of open and endoscopic procedures, including complex reconstructive surgeries.

Job Details

  • Required Qualifications: CA RN License, BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing), AHA BLS Certification, ACLS Certification (preferred), minimum of 3 years of operating room experience, previous travel assignment experience, scrub and circulate experience, proficiency in Epic electronic charting system.
  • Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Additional Job Responsibilities: Handle a wide range of surgical cases such as Open and endoscopic procedures, free flap reconstructive surgeries, and complex neurosurgical and ENT surgeries. Will be required to manage preoperative and postoperative patient care, ensure adherence to safety protocols, and demonstrate efficient surgical support skills.
  • Certifications Required: CA RN License, AHA BLS.
  • Preferred Qualifications: CNOR Certification, ACLS Certification.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Submission Requirements: Candidates must submit two references from their most recent employer along with employment history and dates with any previous University of California medical facility or acquired facilities for rehire eligibility.
