Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician Located off the scenic Oregon Coast, this position supports surgical teams in a critical access medical center. The role involves facilitating invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures, ensuring a sterile environment, and assisting with instrument handling during surgeries.

Job Details

• Position: Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician (OR Technician) at a healthcare facility on the Oregon Coast.
• Education and Work Experience: Associate Degree or Certificate of Program Completion in Surgical Technology required; relevant acute care experience preferred; National Board of Surgical Technologists or Association of Surgical Technologists certification preferred; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
• Responsibilities include verifying surgeries with consent forms, passing instruments, anticipating surgeons needs, performing counts, preparing sterile dressings, setting up sterile fields, checking supplies and equipment, helping drape sterile fields, cleaning and preparing instruments for sterilization, assisting with room turnover, and supporting other team members.
• Schedule: Rotating shifts involving 3, 12-hour night shifts including weekends and holidays, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The position involves assisting in prepping operating rooms, handling sterile and unsterile items, and performing other related duties as assigned. Support the organizations safety initiatives by adhering to vaccination requirements and participating in E-Verify.
