Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse located in the healthcare providers facility in Hackensack. This role involves evaluating patients and assisting physicians with maternal care. The nurse will be responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating individualized plans of care, performing therapeutic nursing interventions, and advocating for evidence-based standards in patient-centered care.

Job Details

Position Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care, including planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN); New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license; a minimum of one year of experience in labor and delivery; certifications including BLS - American Heart Association, ACLS, NRP, and EFM.
Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications: More than four years of labor and delivery experience; additional certifications or relevant advanced education are preferred.
Additional Information: The role requires performing EFM, vaginal exams, circulating in the operating room for cesarean sections, instrumental delivery assistance, and phlebotomy including IV insertion.
