Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse to join the healthcare team on night shifts. This role involves providing advanced nursing care to patients with complex medical conditions across various inpatient units, supporting ED-hold, float pool teams, and other hospital areas as needed.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Active licensure as a registered nurse with ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications; no minimum years of experience required.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV medication titration, chest tubes, lumbar drains, and trach management. Support involves patient transport, patient education, and resourcefulness in a fast-paced environment.
• Support within the Department: Techs in ICU: 1:14, PCU: 1:10, Med/Surg: 1:8-10, RT 24/7, Hospitalist 24/7, Intensivist 24/7.
• Technology/Equipment: EMR EPIC, IV pumps Alaris, Pyxis for medication dispensing.
• Support for floating to different units within scope of practice; orientation includes two days of hospital onboarding and one day on the assigned unit.
• Support within the Department: Techs ICU: 1:14, PCU: 1:10, Med/Surg: 1:8-10, RT 24/7, Hospitalist 24/7, Intensivist 24/7.
• Scheduling: Must call staffing office 30-45 mins prior to shift for assignment; shift times include 0700 and 1900 starts.
• No holiday requests, self-scheduling, or on-call. Approve time off up to five days; additional days require email approval.
• Start date: 10/05/2026, end date: 01/16/2027.
