Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Location not specified. This role involves evaluating patients, assisting physicians with patient care, and developing individualized care plans for patients in the Labor and Delivery department. The nurse will perform therapeutic interventions, manage patient care, and document according to standards and clinical priorities.

Job Details

  • Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: ASN (Advanced Nursing Program), Advanced AWHONN (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses) or Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification, BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association, NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
  • Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week.
  • Required Skills & Experience: One (1)+ year of experience in labor and delivery; hard skills include phlebotomy, IV insertion, Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM), vaginal exams, circulating in Operating Room for cesarean sections, and instrumental delivery assistance.
  • Preferred Skills & Experience: Greater than 4 years of experience in labor and delivery are preferred.
  • Required Certifications & Licensure: BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program); ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) is preferred but not required.
  • Additional Information: The candidate must have experience with phlebotomy and IV insertion, and be proficient in assisting with instrumental delivery, circulating in the Operating Room for cesarean sections, vaginal exams, Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM), and phlebotomy procedures.
