Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Cardiovascular for a day shift position. This role involves caring for post-open heart surgical patients, including those with cardiovascular procedures, cardiac events, and ventilated patients, within a high-acuity ICU setting.

Job Details

• Position Description:
  Responsible for providing specialized cardiovascular patient care in a monitored ICU setting with private beds. The unit primarily treats post-operative cardiac patients such as CABG, valve surgeries, dissections, AAA, vascular procedures, carotids, and other cardiac-related critical conditions. Equipment used includes IABPs, Impellas, Swan Ganz, ECMO, External Pacemakers, and CRRT. RNs must have at least 2 years of solid ICU experience, be proficient in interpreting strips, titrating drips like dopamine and epi, and managing ventilators and external pacing.
• Required Qualifications:
  Valid RN license, BLS (AHA) certification, minimum 2 years ICU CVICU experience, able to work days from 7 am to 7 pm, 48 hours per week, and available to start on 09/28/2026 with an end date of 12/28/2026.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  ACLS certification and experience with high-acuity cardiovascular patients are preferred.
• Additional Information:
  The unit operates 24/7 with charge nurses and house supervisors on each shift, requiring staff to float across care levels as needed. RNs are expected to read and interpret Philips monitors and manage complex cardiovascular equipment and medications.
• Schedule:
  Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum 48 hours per week.
