Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in a healthcare facility. This position involves providing specialized surgical nursing care in a fast-paced, acute care environment. The role requires trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic experience, with shift coverage primarily during night hours.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Experience: BLS certification; minimum 1 year of experience in operating room nursing; active licensure in the applicable state or eligible for a compact license; at least 1 year of recent OR experience.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities include assisting during surgical procedures, maintaining sterile environments, and supporting patient care throughout operative processes.
- Experience with trauma, neuro, vascular, or orthopedic surgical procedures is required.
- Candidates must be able to cover one night shift within their contract as needed, be flexible with on-call duties, and work within a team that may include floating between units or sister facilities.
- Submission requirements include providing two references covering the last 3 years and responses to specified screening questions regarding prior experience at a Providence facility, if applicable.
