Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor (MS) nurse positions are available in a healthcare facility. These roles involve providing care to adult and geriatric patients on a Medical Surgical unit, with a focus on conditions such as pneumonia, respiratory failure/COPD, sepsis, AKI, chest pain, cellulitis, and AMS. The positions require nights shifts and are suitable for qualified professionals with current certification and relevant experience.

Job Details

• Position: Medical Surgical Floor (MS) Nurse
• Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Licensure in the relevant state or jurisdiction, ACLS and BLS certifications, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of cardiac rhythms (non-titrated), airway management, peripheral line care, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing or equivalent clinical experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, experience with patient ratios of 6:1, proficiency with charting systems such as Epic, travel experience preferred
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Additional Information: The facility has a daily census of approximately 30 patients, with support from physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, and pharmacy. The unit manages adult and geriatric patients with diverse diagnoses including pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, AKI, chest pain, cellulitis, and AMS. Orientation includes a 12-hour session, and all onboarding modules must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing.
