Job Summary:
Step Down Unit Registered Nurse (RN) Nights with a focus on acute medical care at a healthcare facility. The role involves providing high-acuity nursing care to adult patients in a specialized step-down setting, requiring proficiency in complex procedures and equipment. The position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment centered on patient stabilization and recovery.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; 2 years of clinical experience in a similar acute care setting; certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with arterial line management, cardiac telemetry, and ventilated patient care; prior experience in a step-down or telemetry unit.
• Float: Float to floors of lower acuity may be required within scope.
• Additional Information: Candidates must have recent bedside experience within the last 6 months and be proficient with titration of vasopressors, sedation medications, insulin drips, trach vents, arterial lines, and external pacemakers. This unit is a high-acuity step-down that requires familiarity with complex procedural care and equipment, including Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure (BiPAP), OptiFlow, and arterial lines. The assignment begins on 10/05/2026 and concludes on 01/04/2027, with a guaranteed minimum of 36 hours per week.
