Job Summary:
Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) for a healthcare facility located in an unspecified location. This position involves providing sterile processing support to surgical and clinical operations. The role requires the ability to adhere to aseptic techniques, monitor sterilization processes, and ensure compliance with safety standards to support patient care and operational efficiency.

Job Details:

• Schedule: The shift hours are 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. The start date is 10/05/2026 and the assignment concludes on 01/04/2027.
• Required Qualifications: At least 1 year of experience in sterile processing or a related field, with certifications such as IAHCSMM or HSPA preferred. Candidates must hold a valid state license (compact license preferred).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with community hospital settings, trauma level I or II environments, and familiarity with charting systems.
• Skills: Proficiency in sterile processing procedures, including decontamination, sterilization wrapping, set/tray assembly, and use of sterilization monitoring systems. Must be familiar with equipment such as ultrasonic cleaners, washer/sterilizers, and various surgical instruments across specialties.
• Additional Information: Candidates should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment, maintain proper documentation, and adhere to hospital policies on aseptic technique and sterilization standards. The position may require float between nearby facilities and working during holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, and New Years Day. All scheduling and RTO must be requested up front during application.
