Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) nurse position located in a busy surgical unit. The role involves performing all aspects of perioperative patient care, including observation, assessment, planning, and intervention. This position requires proficient scrubbing across various surgical specialties and effective multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: ACLS, BLS certifications; 2 years current experience in an acute Operating Room (OR) setting; ability to scrub and be proficient in all service lines; rotation to weekends may be required
• Preferred Qualifications: Ability to scrub (RN); proficiency in various surgical specialties including robotics, orthopedics, spine, and gynecology (GYN)
• Additional Information: The assigned unit features advanced equipment such as Impella, ECMO, Bypass pump, Laser (lead extraction), EVH, Rapid Transfuser, and utilizes Meditech documentation system. The facility performs procedures including joint replacements, ENT, orthopedics, spine, urology, vascular, podiatry, thoracic surgery, and plastic surgery. The nurse must be proficient in charting, critical thinking, and providing excellent bedside manner.
