Description

Job Summary:
Surgical Technician (ORT) Operating Room Concord, NC. This role involves supporting various surgical procedures within a high-volume operating room environment. The position requires recent neuro experience, technical proficiency, and the ability to work effectively within a specialized surgical team.

Job Details:

Location: Concord, NC
Schedule: Days, approximately 12-hour shifts, with a schedule cycle every 6 weeks. Weekend rotations occur every 4th weekend, with scheduled shifts typically from 7 am to 7 pm, and call shifts averaging 6 per 6-week schedule with a 45-minute response time.
Required Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Surgical Technician or Operating Room Technician, recent neuro experience, certification preferred but not required, BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting trauma, ortho trauma, spine, cardiac, vascular, GYN, robotics, and other complex surgical cases. Neuro experience with familiarity in procedures involving Globus, robotic navigation, ALIFs, TLIFs, ACDFs, and poster/anterior cases.
Support within the Department: Service line clinical supervisors, charge nurses, educators, OR assistants, unit secretaries, and tech engineers.
Technology/Equipment: Use of electronic medical records (EPIC) and various department-specific equipment.
Orientation: 2 days departmental orientation and facility-specific onboarding.
Floats: No floating required.
Parking: Free parking available.
Other notes: Scrub color assigned; professionalism with OR culture required.
Shift times: Various depending on specific needs including 7 am-7 pm, 9 am-9 pm, or 11 am-11 pm.
