Job Summary:
The healthcare provider is seeking a registered nurse specializing in Medical Surgical Oncology to work on a full-time basis at a facility. The position involves providing professional nursing care to oncology patients, assisting providers, and engaging with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure coordinated and effective care. The role requires adaptability to a variety of shifts within the scheduled hours.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week, with an upcoming start date of 09/21/2026, and assignment ending on 12/21/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license; meets American Heart Association standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years; at least 1 year of nursing experience in oncology or related fields; must have either bio/chemo or fundamentals course from the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS), which is a 2-year certification to administer chemotherapy, or be able to complete it within two weeks of hire.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a Medical Surgical Oncology setting.
- Additional Information: The role includes providing patient care for oncology patients, administering medications and treatments, and supporting patient education. The nurse must demonstrate competence in making professional judgments regarding patient care, react calmly in emergency situations, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
