Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) The organization is seeking a qualified NICU RN to provide specialized care for newborns requiring intensive care. This role involves practicing as a full partner within the healthcare team, demonstrating safe and competent nursing practices, and supporting families through complex medical situations. The NICU RN will deliver patient-centered care across a range of ages from infancy to neonatal patients, ensuring safety, evidence-based practice, and high-quality outcomes.
Job Details:
- Shift Schedule: Days, 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: - Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license - Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification - Minimum of three years of experience in a level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) including well newborn - Proficiency in operation of clinical equipment/machines, computers, and technology within the nurse's practice setting - Judicious use of materials and supplies in the provision of direct and indirect patient care - Ability to guide, assist, and direct unlicensed assistive personnel as defined by the California Nurse Practice Act and organizational policies - Location Requirements: Must meet applicable state licensing and certification requirements for practice in California
