Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse specializing in Obstetrics at a healthcare facility located in Conroe, Texas. This role involves providing compassionate care to mothers and newborns, supporting labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal needs. The position requires collaboration with a dedicated team to ensure optimal patient outcomes during night shifts.

Job Details:

• Location: Conroe, Texas
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). Education requirements include relevant nursing degrees or licenses. No prior experience required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in transition, postpartum, and neonatal care; charge nurse experience is a plus.
• Unit Description: The unit has 8 labor beds, 2 triage beds, 2 operating rooms, and 1 recovery room bed, staffed by a team of 32 healthcare professionals including nurses, transition nurses, unit secretaries, and certified surgical technologists.
• Typical Procedures: Laboring and vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and care for newly delivered mothers and their newborns.
• Personality Fit: Ideal candidates are team players, motivated, independent, and flexible.
• Additional Information: The facility employs GE monitors, Panda warmers, Novi, Neptune EMR (Electronic Medical Record), CPN, and Meditech systems. The position involves every other weekend shifts and potential on-call duties.
