Description

Job Summary:
Surgical Technician / Operating Room Technician in Sioux City. This position involves working in a Level 3 Trauma Center, with a focus on supporting surgical teams in the operating room. The role requires adherence to sterile procedures and proficiency in various surgical specialties, including orthopedics, robotics, ENT, gynecology, and general surgery.

Job Details:

Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications: 2+ years of experience; Epic electronic medical record experience; IA Mandatory Reporter certification; proficiency in spine, orthopedics, general, robotics, ENT, and gynecology procedures; prior travel experience in the operating room; active American Heart Association Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certifications; NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) certification; drivers license required.
Preferred Qualifications: Skills checklist specific to surgical technician discipline; supervisory reference form completed within the last two years.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
Additional Information:
- Call requirement of about 8-10 days in a 6-week period, with Sunday calls from 6:30 am to 7:00 am the following day.
- Weekend call on Saturday and Sunday, every other weekend.
- Call starts after the regular shift Monday through Friday.
- Submissions must meet the experience and certification requirements listed.
- No local candidates; all applicants must be at least 50 miles from the facility based on drivers license.
- Position start date: 09/28/2026, end date: 12/28/2026.
