Description
Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) position located in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with Telemetry monitoring, with rotating shifts. The position requires adherence to unit-specific procedures and collaboration with healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: License Registered Nurse required; 3+ years related work experience preferred. Valid MA license at time of submission. Prior travel experience is required. Certifications include CPR (AHA) and ACLS (AHA). Basic computer proficiency and Epic EHR experience are required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a teaching hospital and specialty area expertise. Level I trauma experience preferred.
- Additional Information: MA license required at time of submission. Unit-specific procedures include 12-lead EKGs, Lasix GTT, blood transfusions, telemetry monitoring, and ventilator management by RTs or RNs. Travel RNs are assigned to a medical-surgical float pool supporting 15 units, including neurology, cardiac, bariatric, general medicine, surgery, gynecology, oncology, transplant, and vascular services. The typical inpatient patient ratios range from 4:1 on days to 6:1 on nights. The orientation is weekly, held every Monday, with some weeks assigned 2-3 weeks in advance. The working environment involves unassigned shifts with flexible scheduling, honoring RTO requests.
