Job Summary
The Medical Surgical Orthopedic Unit in the healthcare setting is seeking an experienced healthcare professional for night shifts. This role involves providing specialized patient care in a fast-paced orthopedic surgical floor, supporting patients with a variety of orthopedic and medical conditions, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Position: Medical Surgical Orthopedic Floor
- Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts per week, minimum 36 hours weekly
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
- Education & Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, including two years of recent experience in a similar setting, with knowledge of charting systems, specifically Epic, required
- Responsibilities include managing patient care, administering medications, managing IVs, wound care, and utilizing advanced equipment such as ventilators and PICC lines
- Experience with managing ports, blood products, chest tubes, colostomy/ileostomy, CVA care, feeding tubes, and oxygen therapies preferred
- Must hold state or compact license at the time of submittal
- Follow compliance rules including onboarding within 48 hours of contract signing, completing required modules onsite during orientation, and adherence to travel compliance regulations
