Description
Job Summary:
Progressive Care Registered Nurse (RN) PCU on a days shift basis. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care, performing assessments, creating individualized care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The RN supervises nursing staff and ensures safety and compliance with all policies and procedures in alignment with the organizations standards.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification prior to first shift; valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification prior to first shift; minimum of two years bedside clinical experience; relevant certifications, education, and experience as per population served criteria
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience within a Progressive Care Unit or similar setting is preferred
- Responsibilities:
- Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission; develops and updates care plans accordingly
- Provides timely and accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
- Participates in patient rehabilitation and discharge planning from day one of admission
- Communicates critical information clearly to the care team to ensure continuity and patient safety
- Delegates tasks appropriately and supervises ancillary nursing personnel
- Ensures personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital and nursing policies
- Maintains effective communication with the management team regarding supplies, equipment, and clinical needs
- Assumes charge responsibilities following orientation, demonstrating leadership skills
- Actively seeks professional growth through continuing education and self-directed learning
- Prioritizes patient care activities efficiently and effectively
