Description
Job Summary:
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) Registered Nurse (RN) position in an acute care setting. The role involves circulating, sedating, and assisting with interventional cardiology procedures including PCI, TEEs, balloon pumps, pacers, event recorders, and defibrillators. The RN will collaborate with cardiologists, perform patient prep, IV placements, and documentation in the electronic medical record system. The shift is currently day hours but will transition to four 10-hour days, with on-call responsibilities.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, with staggered start times around 0700, 0800, or 0900; minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications; minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience; valid license to submit and willing to wait for licensure; at least 1 year of cath lab experience preferred; prior travel experience highly preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC and CUPID scheduling, and use of Vocano and Impella devices.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Candidates will be required to work full weekends every third weekend and be on call every third day, including response times of 30 minutes. The unit operates in a fast-paced, interventional cardiology environment, with a focus on patient sedation, assistance during procedures, and post-procedure documentation.
