Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) nurse position in an acute care setting. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for a variety of surgical procedures, including general, ENT, plastics, orthopedics, urology, gynecology, and cesarean sections. The position is scheduled for night shifts with ongoing weekend and holiday call responsibilities, supporting a fast-paced surgical team.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, Monday through Thursday, 9:30 PM to 7:30 AM; minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; current certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) (American Heart Association), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Minimum of 2 years of operating room experience, including STAT cesarean section cases; experience with scrubbing required for registered nurses.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Da Vinci surgical systems and urology procedures preferred.
• Float: OSC (Operating Suite Charge) possibility; float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The role includes shadowing the night RN for the first few shifts, with unit-specific orientation. Candidates must be able to respond to call within 30 minutes and provide their own OR shoes; grey scrubs will be provided. The facility uses the Cerner charting system and operates at a trauma level for acute care. The position involves working holiday gaps and potential weekend call shifts.
