Description
Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) specialist position in an acute care setting located in the main operating room. The role involves supporting cardiac surgery cases such as CABG, TAVR, minimally invasive, and open valve replacements. The selected candidate will provide scrub assistance and operate in a fast-paced environment with a focus on minimizing patient risk and ensuring smooth surgical procedures.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 4/10s shifts from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm, including call and weekend duties. Minimum hours per week: 40.0.
- Required Qualifications: BLS Certification, Crisis Protocol Approved; willingness to wait for license submission; at least 2 years of cardiac experience; scrub experience in cardiac procedures; minimum of 2 years of experience in operating room or related specialty.
- Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The organization requires uniform scrubs provided by the hospital. Orientation specific to the unit is provided. The hospital can cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment, or three shifts for shorter assignments. Charting is performed using the electronic medical record system EPIC.
