Description

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Neurology Floor Nurse position located in the Boise area. This role involves providing care for patients with neurological conditions such as stroke, spine and cranial surgeries, and neuro disorders. The unit supports neuro surgical and neuro intervention patients, serving a large geographic area with specialized staff and resources.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, weekends as needed, with a minimum of 48 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross), NIHSS certification; two years of experience in solid Medical Surgical or Telemetry nursing, with preferred stroke experience; ability to work first-time traveler; float support across Treasure Valley Med-Surg areas
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neuro patient populations, neuro interventions, and related procedures
  • Float: Float to support all Treasure Valley Med-Surg areas; travelers are first to float
  • Additional Information: Orientation includes 2 days plus a didactic day with unit-based education. No specific scrubs color required; professional and clean attire expected. The unit will be receiving tele monitors in summer 2024.
