Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse, Night Shift The organization is seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery (L&D) nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. This role involves assisting with vaginal deliveries, Cesarean sections, high-risk antepartum care, and postpartum recovery, ensuring safety and comfort for mothers and newborns.
Job Details
- Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
- Education Requirements: Valid RN license, relevant certifications in hand at time of submission
- Location Requirements: Facility within 75 miles, not accepting local radius restrictions
- Years of Experience: 1 year recent experience in L&D or similar high-acuity unit
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Clinical Skills: Assistance with high-risk delivery, fetal monitoring, postpartum care, epidural management, use of external/internal fetal monitoring, IV therapy, sterile procedures, and emergency obstetric response
- Additional Information: Experience in a high-volume environment; ability to handle complex obstetrical cases; ability to float within scope as needed; brief orientation provided on-site
