Job Summary:

A registered nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical (MS) care is needed for a facility located in Maine. This position involves working night shifts with a focus on providing quality patient care on a 45-bed medical-surgical unit, including orthopedic, general surgery, and urology patients. The assignment aims to support staffing needs during the specified period, ensuring effective patient management and adherence to clinical standards.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, 7:45 PM to 3:15 AM
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS, ACLS, minimum 1 year of experience preferred, plus travel experience preferred
• Preferred Qualifications: PALS certification (not mandatory)
• Floats: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information: The unit manages patient ratios of 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night. Equipment used includes Plum pumps, pyxis, Ascom phones, bladder scanner, EKG machine, and Phillips cardiac monitor. EMR system is EPIC. The unit admits pediatric patients, but PALS certification is preferred for those caring for pediatric patients. The personality profile includes positive, professional, and team-oriented individuals. Scrubs must be clean, unprinted, and in good repair; unacceptable attire includes hoodies and open-toe shoes.
