Description
Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in a local facility. This position involves providing acute care to a diverse patient population across various age groups, including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The role requires adapting to variable shift schedules and managing a wide range of emergency medical conditions in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift with a minimum of 36 hours per week, including 12-hour shifts.
- Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, at least 3 years of professional ER experience, and strong patient management and charting skills.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS must be valid and uploaded with expiration dates.
- Experience: No minimum years of ER experience required; candidates should have relevant clinical skills and certification documentation.
- Patient Ratios: 4 patients per nurse during day and night shifts, with a patient census of approximately 100 daily visits across 28 rooms.
- Additional Unit Details: Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams.
- Compliance: Labs must be completed within 3-5 days of contract signing. Work history verification covering the past 7 years is required. All compliance documents are due 10 days prior to the start date.
- RTO Policy: Max RTO is 7 days per contract; specific holidays such as New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day cannot be requested.
- Orientation: 40 hours of onboarding modules completed via e-learning, with module hours varying by specialty.
