Description
Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) nurse in Nashville, Tennessee. This position involves working in a busy surgical environment with a focus on various specialty procedures including neurosurgery, orthopedics, oral/maxillofacial, plastics, colorectal, robotic general surgery, bariatric surgery, ENT, urology, thoracic, vascular, and endovascular surgeries. The role requires a high level of clinical expertise, adherence to hospital policies, and flexibility in scheduling to support surgical teams.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week, with call shifts as needed (no more than 1 per week).
- Required Qualifications: Multi-year operating room (OR) experience in the current role (RN, CST, FA, RNFA); RN must be a registered nurse in Tennessee or a compact state; certifications such as STFA (Scrub Tech First Assistant) or RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assistant); CPR certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: Endovascular experience; DaVinci robotics experience; Meditech charting experience.
- Additional Information: The unit features advanced equipment such as DaVinci Xi robots, Mazor robots, and Stealth Navigation. The surgical team includes 1 registered nurse, 1 surgical technologist, and 1 clinical assistant per OR room. Experience in neurosurgery, ortho-spine, plastics, urology, thoracic, vascular, and robotic surgeries is highly valued. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to patient care excellence, with an emphasis on surgical procedures and hospital policies.
