Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a hospital setting. This role involves providing competent clinical nursing care, coordinating patient care utilizing the nursing process, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in accordance with professional standards.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) from an accredited school of Nursing; licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross); one (1) year of nursing experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited school of Nursing
• Additional Information: The role may require functioning in a charge or precepting capacity nearly every shift. Candidate must demonstrate competence in patient care, assessment, care planning, point of care testing, patient education, safety management, cultural competence, task prioritization, research application, and effective communication. The RN will participate in ongoing professional growth, cost-effective care initiatives, and unit performance improvement activities. The assignment begins on 09/28/2026 and concludes on 12/26/2026, with a possibility of involvement in discharge planning, collaboration with healthcare team members, and maintaining compliance with healthcare standards and public policy.
