Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position in a hospital setting. This role involves providing direct patient care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, utilizing advanced nursing skills and evidence-based practices. The RN will collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, culturally sensitive, and individualized care, promoting positive outcomes for mothers and infants.

Job Details:

Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license; Certifications in CPR, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Advanced or Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (EFM), and Association of Womens Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN); At least three years of recent RN experience working in the RN role and two years of recent experience in a specialty area, specifically Labor and Delivery
Preferred Qualifications: Triage experience, proficiency with patient care, care planning, nursing process, patient assessment, therapeutic care, patient advocacy, socio-cultural analysis, interdisciplinary collaboration, delegation, care coordination, quality outcomes, documentation, educational planning, and adult learning theory
Additional Information: The nurse will assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, evaluate patient progress, serve as a patient advocate, and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams. Experience in triage is preferred, with a focus on providing culturally competent care and ensuring positive maternal and infant health outcomes.
