Description
Job Summary:
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse position available in Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves providing specialized critical care to pediatric patients in a busy, state-of-the-art environment. The nurse will work in a unit with a 1:1 or 1:2 patient-to-RN ratio, utilizing advanced equipment and protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; at least 1 year of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification; current location in North Carolina or willingness to relocate.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ventilator management, central line dressing changes, ICP monitoring, and other advanced PICU procedures.
- Floating: Will float to Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Units as needed.
- Additional Information: The PICU utilizes Cerner documentation systems, and staff work Navy or white uniforms. The unit features advanced equipment such as Alaris pumps and has a focus on pediatric patient safety, recognized for excellence with awards and safety grades. The role offers opportunities to work with new technology and a dedicated team with extensive experience. Self-scheduling options are available.
