Description

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position available in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing surgical nursing care in a busy operative environment, supporting various types of procedures across multiple specialties. The successful candidate will assist in ensuring smooth surgical operations, maintain patient safety, and adhere to facility protocols.

Job Details:

  • Certifications: Must hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA). Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience required. Candidates must be able to Scrub and Circulate during Thoracic, Trauma, Neuro, Spine, Orthopedic, and Robotics surgeries.
  • Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Start Date: 10/05/2026
  • End Date: 01/02/2027
  • Case Types: Common cases include Orthopedic, Neurological, Maxillofacial, ENT, Plastic, Vascular, Colo-Rectal, General Surgery, Gynecology, Urology, Spine, Podiatry, Thoracic, and Breast surgeries across 11 suites, performing approximately 25-35 cases daily.
  • Orientation: Floor-specific orientation lasting 1 week, extended to 2 weeks for night shift.
  • Shift Expectations: Assigned shifts from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm; block scheduling is not available.
  • Weekend Work: Every other weekend.
  • On-Call: 2-4 call shifts including overnight and weekends, with on-call frequency averaging 3 times per week.
  • Float: No; the candidate will not be required to float to other units.
  • Epic Access: Required.
