Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in Step Down Unit care is needed at a 30-bed step-down unit within a healthcare provider. This role involves caring for patients with complex conditions requiring close monitoring and stabilization, including those post cardiac surgery, with vascular or respiratory issues, and various critical illnesses. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic setting that supports float assignments across critical care service lines.

Job Details:

• Shift: Days, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, certification verification, professional references, proof of experience including at least 2 years of clinical experience in areas such as HFNC, BiPAP, stable GTT management, CABG/AVR/MVR, cardiovascular and vascular experience, AAA repair, lobectomy, carotid endarterectomy, NSTEMI, STEMI, acute coronary syndrome, pacers, sepsis, gastrointestinal bleeding, post DKA, respiratory failure, trachs.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in critical care clinical procedures and advanced cardiovascular nursing competencies.
• Additional Information: The role involves floating between critical care service lines, providing patient-centered care, and adhering to hospital policies and procedure protocols including SOPs and safety standards. Compliance with healthcare regulations and maintaining certifications are essential for effective performance in this position.
