Description
Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Nurse (RN) Location: Wisconsin. This inpatient rehabilitation facility requires a skilled RN with at least one year of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or similar 24/7 skilled care environment. The role involves caring for adult patients with high acuity needs, providing comprehensive nursing care on a 12-hour night shift schedule. The position aims to support patients' recovery journeys using specialized rehabilitation programs.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with shifts typically from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., including every other weekend and holiday rotations.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS certification, 1+ year of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or inpatient rehabilitation setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in medical surgical or inpatient rehabilitation units related to patient acuity.
- Float: Currently not required; may be requested to float to a satellite inpatient rehabilitation facility within 20 minutes in the near future.
- Additional Information: This inpatient rehab hospital functions similarly to a medical surgical unit, requiring nurses to assist CNA staff and respond promptly to patient call lights to ensure safety. Nurses are expected to participate actively in patient care, including helping with mobility and safety procedures, during high acuity periods.
