Description
Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Float Nurse - Night shift. This position involves floating to multiple units including the Medical Care Unit, Post Surgical Unit, and Intermediate Care Unit within the healthcare organization. The role requires adaptability, effective patient teaching, and crisis response, ensuring comprehensive patient care across varied settings.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Recent hospital experience within the past five years. Two years of Medical Surgical experience. Oregon state license (license does not need to be active at the time of submission but must be obtained prior to start). BLS (AHA) certification. ACLS (AHA) certification. Willingness to obtain licenses and certifications if not active.
- Preferred Qualifications: Ability to float between units, effective teaching and crisis management skills, flexible and friendly attitude, and punctual attendance.
- Additional Information: Candidates must demonstrate flexibility in accepting varied assignments, be capable of prioritizing patient needs, and maintain consistent attendance. Respond effectively to emergency situations and maintain documentation according to hospital standards. Submission requires a recent skills checklist (within one year) and resume.
