Job Summary:
Mother/Baby Couplet Care registered nurse position is based in a healthcare organization dedicated to providing specialized obstetric and postpartum care. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for mothers and newborns within a designated shift. The nurse will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective, and family-centered care in accordance with professional standards and facility policies.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current, valid registered nursing license in the state of practice; BLS certification; experience in Mother/Baby or obstetric/postpartum care preferred; location requirements as applicable; minimum of 0 years of experience in clinical settings
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in nursing or related field; professional certification in maternal/newborn care; additional relevant education or experience
- Additional Information: Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Responsible for assessing, planning, providing, and evaluating nursing care tailored to new mothers and their infants. Participates in quality improvement activities related to maternal and neonatal health outcomes. Interacts with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care delivery.
