Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) specialty position located at a healthcare facility. This role involves providing comprehensive maternal and neonatal care, including cervical exams, antepartum and labor management, fetal monitoring, epidurals, IVs, Pitocin administration, and circulating for cesarean sections. The position also requires experience with postpartum care, breastfeeding support, and baby receiving procedures. The assignment is ideal for first-time travelers interested in gaining clinical experience in a diverse, multilingual environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), fetal monitoring certification; minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing; current licensure; experience with cervical exams, antepartum and labor management, amnio infusions, epidurals, fetal monitoring, IVs, Pitocin administration, circulating for cesarean sections, baby catching/receiving, and APGAR assessments
• Preferred Qualifications: Comfort with postpartum care from transition to discharge for both mother and baby; scrubbing experience; multilingual abilities (Russian/Spanish) is preferred
• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, at least 36 hours per week
• Additional Information: NP on call; strong proficiency with EMR systems, particularly Epic, is preferred; the unit has 20 beds (12 labor/delivery, 8 postpartum/antepartum), including 3 OB/ED rooms and 2 operating rooms; level II NICU with 6 beds; teal scrubs are provided; scrub-trained RNs are occasionally utilized for sick calls; this position is suitable for first-time travelers.
