Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in a hospital setting. This role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards. The position includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, as well as providing health teaching and counseling to patients. The nurse will execute therapy and treatment plans, coordinate patient referrals as needed, and ensure accurate documentation consistent with regulatory guidelines.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice; Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; BLS certification by the American Heart Association; 0 years of experience required
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Certification as appropriate for the labor and delivery unit or service; Previous experience in labor and delivery nursing preferred
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information: The role involves providing direct patient care in the labor and delivery department, supporting maternal and newborn health, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The assignment is scheduled to commence on 09/28/2026 and will conclude on 01/02/2027.
