Description
Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical (MS) nursing on a night shift schedule. This role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical duties in accordance with accepted practice standards. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, provide health education and counseling, execute medical functions, and ensure proper documentation and resource utilization within the scope of practice. The position may require floating to other departments based on operational needs and may include on-call responsibilities.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: ASN degree from an accredited School of Nursing; current RN license in the state of practice; BLS from the American Heart Association; minimum of 3 years of nursing experience; applicable ACLS, NRP, or PALS certifications for the unit or service
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree of Nursing; certification appropriate for the unit or service
- Additional Information: The role involves performing clinical duties such as health data assessment, health teaching, counseling, care documentation, treatment planning, and executing delegated medical functions. The RN may be required to float to other departments within scope and qualifications and participate in on-call duties as scheduled.
