Job Summary
The organization is seeking an ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nurse for a temporary assignment in Rhinelander, WI. This role involves providing critical care in a high-acuity environment, supporting adult patients with complex medical needs. The position offers an opportunity to work within a team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient outcomes in a facility with a patient ratio of 1:2.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: WI RN license, AHA or Red Cross BLS and ACLS and PALS; Associate Degree or Certificate; 2+ years ICU experience; and minimum experience of 2 years.
• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications and Responsibilities: Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years ICU experience, prior critical access or rural experience highly preferred, charting experience with EPIC, and be licensed in Wisconsin. The role includes floating to units within skillset and other Aspirus locations within a 40-mile radius, with float scheduling pre-arranged if necessary. Flexibility for every other weekend and holiday coverage is required.
• Additional Information: The clinical environment involves caring for both adult and occasional pediatric surgical patients, with responsibilities including patient assessment, monitoring, and collaboration with the healthcare team. The assignment length is approximately 13 weeks, starting around October 19, 2026, with flexibility for low census call duties. During flu season, mandatory masking is required for those declining vaccination.
