Description
Job Summary:
Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) Philadelphia, PA. This position involves providing specialized care on a 30-bed telemetry and stroke unit. The RN will manage patients with diagnoses such as chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, post-cardiac catheterization, stroke, sepsis, and alcohol or substance withdrawal. The role requires collaboration with a team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes and adherence to nursing standards.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: 15 years of experience, previous travel experience, stroke care experience, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, valid nursing license, and must meet education and certification requirements
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in telemetry units and managing stroke patients
- Float: Float to other units is not required
- Additional Information: The nurse will provide care for patients with diagnoses including chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, post-cardiac catheterization, stroke, sepsis, and substance withdrawal. Call requirements involve no on-call duties, but holiday commitment is required every winter holiday. The unit size is 30 beds, and the nurse-to-patient ratio is 5:1. Candidates should have a minimum of two years of hospital nursing experience and previous travel nursing experience.
