Job Summary
Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) Nights Henderson. This position involves providing high-quality patient care on a medical surgical floor with a focus on general medical and surgical patients. The assignment is located within a teaching hospital setting, with responsibilities including patient monitoring, medication management, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Job Details

• Shift: 12-hour Nights, 6:30 PM 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Duration: 13-week contract starting on 10/05/2026 and ending on 01/03/2027
• Schedule: Night shift, every third weekend, every other holiday
• Required Qualifications: Must have a current active compact license, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications; minimum of 2 years of strong Medical Surgical (MS) nursing experience; recent EPIC charting experience required; recent at least one travel assignment experience in a similar setting
• Float: First to float within skillset to Deaconess Newburgh (IN) campus, potential to float to Deaconess Midtown (IN); 2-hour notice for cross-campus float and mid-shift float within the same campus
• Additional Responsibilities: May require precepting students and new hires; unit staffing includes 45 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5 during day shifts and 1:5-7 during nights
• Certification Requirements: Current compact license, AHA BLS, and NIHSS certifications must be attached upon submission
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of medical surgical nursing experience; flexible on the minimum experience required
